2020 Election November 4th Update
As of 2:30 on Wednesday November 4th, Biden is projected to have 237 electoral votes, Trump is projected to have 213 electoral votes, and the number to get is 270. Although Wisconsin is projected for Biden, the Trump administration is filing for a recount. The states that have yet to be called are Alaska, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, the 2nd congressional district of Maine, and Georgia. Biden is currently leading in Nevada, Arizona, and Michigan. If he wins in those 3 and keeps Wisconsin, he would have enough electoral votes to win the presidency. Trump is leading in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, the 2nd congressional district of Maine, and Georgia, which are missing some mail-in votes that could possibly turn the tide in those states. The presidency is still undecided at this point, and will likely remain this way until Friday, as Nevada and Pennsylvania won’t have their votes fully counted until then It is looking like Biden will win the popular vote regardless, but that isn’t how we elect our presidents. Whoever gets 270 electoral votes wins. If current trends continue, Biden will reach that number and win the election.
