Varsity Cross Country Season Recap

The Varsity Cross Country team concluded their season at the state meet on Saturday, November 7th. “They were nervous, but had a fun time and we enjoyed it,” Coach Floyd, Varsity Cross Country Head Coach of 9 years, reflected on the state meet. This season was incredibly difficult considering they only practiced twice a week as a team, and practiced at home the remaining days. Coach Floyd was proud of how disciplined her team was and empathized that she “would want to coach them all the time.” The team welcomed two new members this year: Tess Freyaldenhoven 24’ and Riley Fishman 24’.

I loved every minute of it. The team is so supportive and kind and we bonded so well throughout all of the fun practices. I could not have asked for a better first varsity season”

This year’s team placed 3rd at the regional meet, and 8th at the state meet. Coach Floyd commented, “We really enjoyed each other this year.”

Congratulations on such a successful season!
