Nour Khalifa, Marketing Manager and Staff Writer
Hey, I’m Nour. I am a junior, and I will serve as the Marketing Manager as well as a staff writer for the Laurel Leaf this year. As the Marketing Manager, I oversee the design of our website and find ways to promote our publication. My main goal as a staff writer is to focus on writing opinion pieces about politics and social justice. I am passionate about making a difference, and I aim to overcome my fear of being too small to help a cause that seems way bigger than just me. I firmly believe in art and literature as a means of expression, and I hope to use my passions to influence and persuade people to live with empathy. Outside of my schoolwork and the Laurel Leaf, I participate in cross country, basketball, soccer, fine arts, the Committee for Social Justice and Equity, and the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra. A fun fact about me is that I love the musical Hamilton! I am so excited and honored to be a part of this incredible publication for a second year.
