The Laurel Leaf

Sage Shumate
Hey guys! My name is Sage and I’m a senior and the Copy Editor for the Laurel Leaf. At AGS, I participate in Model UN, swimming, theater, and the little-known Film Club. Outside of school however, you’ll often find me playing the guitar, making movies, speaking Welsh, reading, and, of course, writing. I’m passionate about politics and I am incredibly excited to write about topics concerning AGS as well as subjects on a global scale. As copy editor, I want to help nurture the voices of my staff and help them grow as writers. But I’m mostly here because being a part of the school newspaper has been a dream of mine since I first saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
